Vienna Secession

KlimtThere is a major exhibition on Gustav Klimt and on the Vienna Secession at the Pinacothèque in Paris. The exhibition ‘In the Time of Klimt, the Vienna Secession’ is shown from the middle of February until the middle of June in 2015.

The Vienna Secession was formed in 1897 by a group of Austrian artists including Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann, Joseph Maria Olbrich, Mark Kurzweil and so on. The Vienna Secession included painters, sculptors and architects as well. Gustav Klimt had a major part forming the Vienna Secession and he was also the first president of the organisation. The exhibition shows the development of the Viennese art from the end of the 19th century through the beginning of the Viennese Secession to the first years of Expressionism. The exhibition shows the most outstanding works of the Vienna Secession and visitors have the chance to get to know better the works of Gustav Klimt.

The exhibition mostly focuses on the major works by Gustav Klimt such as Judith I or the Beethoven Frieze but the exhibition has a particular attention on the beginning of the Vienna Secession and on the different painters influence on art from this period of time as well. The exhibition ‘In the Time of Gustav Klimt, the Vienna Secession’ is shown at the Pinacothèque in Paris from 12th February to 21st June in 2015.

Exhibition on the Tudors

Tudors MuseeThe exhibition ‘The Tudors’ will be shown at the Musèe Luxembourg in Paris from the middle of March until the middle of July in 2015.

The major exhibition on the Tudors is the first overall exhibition on this topic in Paris and in the whole country as well. The Tudors is one of the most popular and known dynasties of all time and it was always in the centre of the attention. The Tudors reigned from 1485 until 1603 and they were one of the most powerful emperors of the English kingdom and they had a big effect on the English history from every aspect. At the exhibition visitors can discover more on the history of the Tudors through the different portraits of the various emperors of the kingdom and other paintings that perfectly show the life back in the time of the Tudors. Through the wide selection of paintings visitors will have the chance to see the Tudors from a new perspective and to explore more on its emperors as well.

The exhibition ‘The Tudors’ will take place at the Musèe Luxembourg in Paris from 18th March to 19th July in 2015.

Exhibition on the Rhodian archeology

The exhibition Rhodes: A Greek Island and Getaway to the East is shown at the Louvre from this year November until next year February.
Rhodian Art

The exhibition shows a wide selection of art works of different museums including the Louvre, museums of Rhodes and Copenhagen and the British Museum. The exhibition recalls the richness of this region and shows different art works for the visitors from the 14th and 6th centuries BC (from the Bronze Age to the Archaic period). At the exhibition visitors have the chance to discover the cultural mix of Rhodes and shows the Orientalist nature of the Rhodian art as well. So the visitors have the chance to explore the most unique gold and silver works. The exhibition Rhodes: A Greek Island and Getaway to the East takes place at the Louvre from 14th November 2014 until 9th February 2015. The museum is open every day from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening except on Wednesdays and Fridays when it is open until 9.45 in the evening and on Tuesdays when it is closed. The entrance fee for the exhibition is € 12.

7 Years of Reflection

Orsay museumThis exhibition is shown at the Musèe d’Orsay in the heart of Paris. The name of the exhibition is “7 Years of Reflection” and the goal is to show the latest acquisitions of the museum, from the last seven years.

The Musèe d’Orsay displays the nicest and most famous paintings of the museum and visitors will have the chance to explore more on them. The main goal of the exhibition is to show and bring closer the audience to the most outstanding and most beautiful pictures the museum has collected during the last years. The exhibition gives the chance to understand the history, the development and the changes art has been through during the centuries. The exhibition 7 Years of Reflection is shown at the Musèe d’Orsay in the centre of Paris in France. The exhibition is held from 18th November 2014 to 22nd February 2015. The museum is open every day from 9.30 in the morning until 6 in the evening except on Mondays when the museum is closed.

Medieval Morocco exhibition

This exhibition is about the dynasties ruling from the 11th to the 15th century in Morocco and this exhibition will come to the capital of France, to Paris the first time. At the exhibition the successful dynasties, the Almoravid, Almohad and Marinied dynasties, the life and culture will be shown.

The exhibition Medieval Morocco: An Empire from Africa to Spain will show the life and the history, the culture and the political situations of the greatest dynasties of Morocco. At the exhibition there will be countless works presented to the audience from this period of time and visitors will have the chance to have a closer look on the life of the period when the western Islamic world was one of the most important and powerful state. At the exhibition there will be shown more than 300 works which will allow the visitors to discover more on the complex history of Morocco. There will be different and various items such as architectural decorations, textiles, ivory and calligraphy as well. The exhibition Medieval Morocco will take the visitors to a journey through the Moroccan and Andalusian culture of that period of time. The exhibition will be shown at the Musèe du Louvre in Paris from 17th October 2014 until 19th January in 2015. The entrance to the exhibition is for 13€.
