Rock en Seine
Rock en Seine is one of the biggest happenings in Paris every year. It is normally arranged in August and attracts more than a hundred thousand people yearly. The venue for the event is the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, a fantastic park with gardens, sculptures, fountains, and more. Many claim it to be one of the most beautiful parks in the world, so you have a lot to look forward to if you come to enjoy Rock en Seine in Paris.
The festival is named Rock en Seine because the seine is the river separating the park from central Paris. The French word for “stage” is pronounced in the same way as they say the name of the river, thus playing around with words. The festival was first arranged in 2003, with two stages and ten bands performing. Since then, the festival has grown, and there are now 6-7 stages and very popular bands coming. The festival had to take a break due to COVID, but now it is back, stronger than ever.
The festival usually lasts for three days. The nearest metro station is métro Boulogne – Pont de Saint-Cloud and it is the end station of metro line 10 in Paris.
