The exhibition Rhodes: A Greek Island and Getaway to the East is shown at the Louvre from this year November until next year February.
The exhibition shows a wide selection of art works of different museums including the Louvre, museums of Rhodes and Copenhagen and the British Museum. The exhibition recalls the richness of this region and shows different art works for the visitors from the 14th and 6th centuries BC (from the Bronze Age to the Archaic period). At the exhibition visitors have the chance to discover the cultural mix of Rhodes and shows the Orientalist nature of the Rhodian art as well. So the visitors have the chance to explore the most unique gold and silver works. The exhibition Rhodes: A Greek Island and Getaway to the East takes place at the Louvre from 14th November 2014 until 9th February 2015. The museum is open every day from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening except on Wednesdays and Fridays when it is open until 9.45 in the evening and on Tuesdays when it is closed. The entrance fee for the exhibition is € 12.
