Ceilings in Paris in the 17th century

Lots of things took place in the 17th century, and in France the ceilings were revolutionized. They were no longer just flat, they had curves and bends in them, and painters did their uttermost to make every ceiling a piece of art.

In this new exhibition on display in the Louvre museum in Paris you can see more than 80 prints and drawings of ceilings made in the 17th century. The exhibition will be on display from February 20th until May 19th in 2014, so make sure to visit the French capital during this period to see this winner of an exhibition. There is no extra entrance fee required to see this exhibition, except from the basic entrance fee to the Louvre museum which is 12 Euro.

German Thought and Painting: From Friedrich to Beckmann

I am sure everybody knows the famous museum, the Louvre in the capital of France, Paris. In one of the most popular museums there are lauds of permanent and temporary exhibitions always. For those who wants to know more about the French or other nation’s art, this is the perfect place. The newest exhibition in the Louvre wants to show the Mexican art to the visitors.

The Mexican Art exhibition is in the Spanish room of the Louvre. Among others, the monumental “Zurbaranesque” work of José Juárez, the Baroque dynamism of Cristóbal Villalpando and the softness and delicacy of Rodríguez Juárez will introduce visitors to the many facets of New World art during this period and give them an understanding of its close yet independent relationship with Spanish art

The exhibition is opened between 7 March 2013 and 3 June 2013 in the Spanish room of the Louvre, on the first floor. This amazing exhibition would be a great program for those, who visit the Louvre. The spring sunshine brings lots of enjoyable rest and fun opportunities. For example, this part of the year the best moment to travel to the capital of wonderful France, to the city of lights, Paris for a couple days. During a holiday in Paris, people want to see the most famous attractions, for example the Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe or one of the most popular and famous museums, the Louvre.

David d’Angers, born as Pierre-Jean David was born in 1788 in Angers. He was a very outstanding artist of the Romanticism.

The Louvre borrowed the exhibited works from the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Angers. This exhibition is part of the long-term policy pursued by the Louvre’s Department of Prints and Drawings to present works from the French museums’ great drawing collections.

American art exhibition at the Louvre

If you live in Europe, you surely saw a lot of exhibition about the European history or European artists’ works. We could say, European people know a lot about the European history and culture. But we don’t know too much about the American history and culture, because the TV doesn’t show us the real masters’ works.

Well, the American art finally arrived to Europe, to the city of love and romance, the capital of Hungary, Paris! The exhibition is opened between 19 January 2013 and 22 April 2013 in one of the most popular and Paris’ greatest museum, the Louvre. The Louvre works on the exhibition with American partner museums, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bertonville, Arkansas, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and the Terra Foundation for American Art. Their goal is to show the American culture and history to European people, so we can know more about America, than what we saw in TV.

The spring in Paris is the most beautiful view. Sun is shining, people are happy for the lovely weather. The Eiffel Tower sparkles brightly. And the most famous museum of the city, the Louvre waits for the visitors with an interesting exhibition. It would be an unforgettable experience, so do not miss it! Have a great time!
