Get to know Eugène Delacroix: Exhibition

This exhibition will show a wide range of objects, paintings and drawings from Eugène Delacroix. Eugène Delacroix was a French romantic artist who was born in 1798 and died in 1863. Delacroix had a great influence on the Impressionists and on the Symbolist movement as well. The exhibition will display countless objects Delacroix brought back to Europe from his trip to North Africa in 1832. The exhibition let the visitors to have a closer look on the work of Eugène Delacroix and discover more on the life and work of the artist. At the exhibition apart from the countless objects from North Africa, Morocco there will be also several sketches and watercolours displayed.

The museum will present hundreds of drawings, paintings, sketches and watercolours from the artist to the audience. The exhibition Objects in Painting, Souvenir of Morocco will take place at the Musèe Delacroix in Paris. The exhibition will be shown from 5th November in 2014 until 2nd February in 2015. The museum is open every day from 9.30 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon except on Tuesdays. Tickets for adults to the exhibition is for 7.50€.

Niki de Saint Phalle exhibition

Niki de Saint PhalleNiki de Saint Phalle was a French sculptor, film maker and painter. She was born in 1930 and she died in 2002 at the age of 71.

In the beginning of her career she started experimenting with different styles and the media. Gaudi had a big effect on the work of Saint Phalle and also on her style and his influence opened new possibilities and ways for her along side with the different and unusual materials, objects and structural elements at architecture and sculpture. At her art work she often used the images of knives and guns as the tools of the violence in the world. At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to discover more on the works of Saint Phalle and reveal the hidden meanings of her art works.

Niki de Saint Phalle is one of the most outstanding artists of mid-twentieth century and she had a major impact on the world of art. The museum Grand Palais works in collaboration with other museums. The exhibition of Niki de Saint Phalle works will be shown at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. The exhibition will be held 17th September in 2014 until 2nd February in 2015.

Perugnio, Raphael’s master exhibition

PerugnioPietro Perugino was an Italian painter, who was born in c. 1446 and died in 1523. He was a Renaissance painter and his most famous pupil was Raphael.

He is considered one of the best and most influential Italian Renaissance painters of this period. He was the first one who started using oil paint for his paintings. His art works and paintings initiated a new way of painting which had a deep affect on the upcoming years, generations and its artists. His style is characterised transparencies and on his paintings you can discover the harmony of the colours, the grace and charm which made him on of the greatest painters of the Renaissance. At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to discover Perugino’s outstanding art works and to explore the connection and relationship between the works of Perugino and Raphael.

The exhibition will show over 60 pictures. At the exhibition you will see the best landscapes and portraits from the master and his pupil and how they developed their works during the years and became one of the most remarkable painters in the history. The exhibition will take place in Paris at Musée Jacquemart-André from Friday 12th September 2014 until Monday 19th January 2015.

Boyz II Men concert in Paris

Boyz 2 MenThe Boyz II Men are an American R&B vocal group which is best known for cappella harmonies and romantic and emotional ballads. The band is a trio composed of baritone Nathan Morris and the two tenors Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman.

Originally the band was a quartet featuring Michael McCary too. They became successful and famous during the 1990s when they released their number one single the End of the Road in 1992. The song was ranked number one on several charts and brought an international fame for the band. Later they released two other number one singles the I’ll Make Love to You and the Sweet Day which was recorded with Mariah Carey. The Boyz II Men released their last studio album Twenty in 2011. Michael McCary left the group because of health issues but the band continued touring as a trio.

The Boyz II Men are on a tour this year 2014. They visit and perform in several countries all around the world. The Boyz II Men are giving several concerts in different cities and states in the USA and later this year they will be on stage in multiple European countries as well such as Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and in France too. In France the concert will take place in the French capital, Paris. Boyz II Men will perform in Paris at Palais Des Congrès on Wednesday 3rd December 2014.

The Borgias and their time: From Leonardo da Vinci to Michelangelo exhibition

BorgiasThe Borgias became dominant during the Renaissance in Italy. Originally they were from Valencia and several members of the family became popes and were in high position. They had a bad reputation especially during the reign of Alexander VI. and they were suspected in multiple crimes, mostly in murder. Several artist were fascinated by the House of Borgia over the centuries. Victor Hugo and Alejandro Jodorowsky even wrote about the Borgias and there has been a really popular television series inspired by the family. Many portraits from this age can be seen at the exhibition of the Borgias. Several Renaissance artists and the greatest painters worked with the members of the family such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo and the family often had a close relationship with the biggest painters at the time. Through the pictures of the members of the Borgias family visitors will have the chance to have an inside look in the life of the time they lived in and you can discover their secrets and see the true face of the Borgias.

The exhibition will take place in Paris at Musée Maillol from Wednesday 17th September 2014. until Sunday 15th February 2015.
